| Links
Due to
the enormous amount of links I have been given by associates in
the ADHD & Learning Disability area, I have had to separate them onto
different pages. This is so as to help you to quickly find the
information you need in the topic that you want.
By
joining our
Teachers e-mail support group,
this will keep you up to date with new links as they are added to the
site. This will be on a weekly basis, so to keep up with the latest in
information for eductors, click the link!
Also,
PLEASE
e-mail me if you have a favourite website so that I can pass it
on to other surfers/members!
The
following links will take you to another page with the categorised
links on it. If any lead you to dead links, it would be appreciated if
you could copy and paste the link in an e-mail to me with the page you
found it on so I can update information.
Teaching
Links specifically for teachers.
Over 30
links on various topics for you to learn from.
Parenting
Links that you can obtain information of to help the parents of
your students. Better still, give them this website to look at!
Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity
Disorder (ADHD)
The best links for teachers and
parents.
There is also a site that is gender specific too, as ADHD
in girls can be different to boys ... Well girls CAN think with both
sides of their brain at once and boys only think with one, different
hormones..... it has to be different!
Tourettes , Aspergers & Autism Syndromes
(to be connected shortly) Sometimes
you will find these disorders in the same families as ADHD kids, so it
is important to make yourself aware of these 'differences' as well.
Many
Tourettes people are ADHD as well as are some Aspergers people.
Aspergers are termed as high functioning autistics & you will find
info on autism links as well.
Emotional
Issues
This
section includes links relating to depression & anxiety, especially in
children. If you have a worried child, don't ignore it!
Giftedness
Many gifted children go undetected.
Often they
can have a learning disability of some kind, neurological
differences such as ADHD or Aspergers & so it seems appropriate to
include a page to help in this area as well. Gifted kids can go
through hell at school & be very frustrated as they feel the intensity
of their gift and often have no way, or no idea, how to deal with it.
These children are the future leaders and entrepreneurs, yet in many
circumstances they get less help than a child with a noticeable
learning disability yet it doesn't mean they suffer less. This page
will be updated with more links shortly.
Soon to come : Pages on
