Richard
(Rick) Lavoie
Richard D. Lavoie is currently the
director of the Schwab Foundation for Learning. He was Executive
Director of Riverview School from 1990-2001, a boarding school for
adolescents with learning disabilities. Lavoie is one of the most
sought-after speakers in the field of learning disabilities and has made
appearances on ABC Nightly News, Good Morning America and the CBS
Morning Show in the USA.
He serves as a consultant on learning
disabilities to many agencies, among them ABC News, New York Times, Walt
Disney Studios, and the Secondary School Admissions Board. He has been a
guest speaker at many universities, including Rutgers. He frequently has
articles on the web and his “FAT City” video is the
largest selling video in the field of Education. His presentations
are entertaining as well as informative.
Without a doubt, Rick Lavoie is one of the best presenters and also
